      QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

      Ask a Question
      • do I need to grind the concrete floor before applying and would I need to apply two coats?

Floor needs to be clean of other sealers and dry,  but you don't need to grind them.   2 coats is not mandatory but I would recommend it for a longer life.

      • Would this be a good kennel floor? Would urine affect the coating ?

I would suggest a penetrating sealer such as Ghostshield Siloxa-Tek 8510

This will hold up extemely well to urine and cleaning.

      • What would happen if you applied a second coat, immediately after the first. I am having white show through in many places and it looks patchy.

The first coat wouldn't cure, as the second coat cured first, not allowing the base to clear

      • how much space dose 5 gal covers ?

Coverage is up to 300 square feet per gallon, so 5 gallons would cover up to 1500 square feet.

      • How do i apply this product?

      • Have newly poured driveway with exposed aggregate. Is wear tek 4400 good to use on it? I already have some is why i ask. If not, would the 4400 be good to use on a garage floor that has already been sealed with your Lithi-Tek product? It currently resists water fine, but not sure if it would resist oil/gas.

4400 is great for exposed aggregate or garage floors. It is highly chemical resistant but will not last long against oil and gas. I would suggest the Siloxa-tek-8510 for the garage floor if you already put down the Lithi-Tek 4500

      • Are any of your concrete sealers safe to use inside a cement-block raised vegetable garden. Is there an applicable rating that I should look for on a product like this?

What are you looking to seal/protect your block from?  I have a suggestion in mind but want to know your goal.

      • Hi my garage floor is extremely sticky , wrong epoxy ratio, its not drying, we cannot clean it. We worked v hard, spent lots of money. What fast drying product you recommend to harden the top caot which is quick dry . We are trying to put top quote quick dry high gloss. Please help

What products have you used on the floor?

      • I have an old concrete basement floor where the water is coming up in various spots from underneath the floor. There is a gray paint applied to the floor that was there when I bought the house. Some areas have bubbles of paint with water underneath that I dried completely. Can I apply this over the gray paint or do I have to remove all of the paint? I'm assuming it's a waterproofing paint, I'm not positive. Ty

You can't apply this over paint.  For your situation,  I would suggest using Lithi-Tek 4500, then Siloxa-Tek 8510 to prevent water from seeping in. This would be a longer lasting solution than a surface sealer.

      • Hello, I have a old concrete basement floor where thewater is coming up from under the slab. What ghost shield product is best to use

Lithi-Tek 4500 followed up by Siloxa-Tek 8505 would be the best option.   The 4500 is a densifier,  and the 8505 is the penetrating sealer.

      • If I use this product in my basement can I install ceramic tile or any other flooring on top?

What is your goal with applying the 4400 underneath the flooring?  You would most likely have issues with adhesion.

      • How much does 1gal cover rough square feet

        300 sqft per gallon

      • Is the ghost shield 8510 slippery when wet...can it be used for driveways??

8510 does not change the texture of the concrete so it does not get slippery when wet. It is great for driveways and garages.

      • Do you have the wear-TEK 400 in matt finish? I have to use polyurethane sealer for toughness ad UV protection. But my customer still wants his concrete to look like concrete and doesn't like the glassy look.

You can add a matte agent to the 4400 to reduce the gloss.  Let us know how much sealer you need and we can get a price for you!
